Contest Rules

0. The contest is open from Year 3-10 year students.
1. BIG PRIZES awaits for all categories.
2. All winning and highly commended stories will be published on our School
s website bes.sd
3. The story has to be written in English.
4. The theme of the fiction short story is your choice.
5. Drawings, photos, or any other graphics are not allowed.
6. Only one entry is accepted per person.
7. The contest will be in three categories:
a. Sub-junior (Year 3-4)
b. Junior (Year 5-6)
c. Senior (Year 7-10)
8. The minimum required length of the story is as follows:
a. Sub-junior
300 words
b. Junior
500 words
c. Senior
700 to1000 words
9. The upper limit can only be up to 1000 words in all categories.
10. Send your story to your Year-level English subject-teacher.
11. Mention the following information below your story:
a. Full name
b. Year level & Class Name
c. Category entered
d. Title of your story
e. Email address (optional) – parent’s/teacher’s email address can be used here if necessary
12. The story should be the original, unpublished contribution of the person who  is participating in the competition. Any story that is fully or partially copied
from any other source will not be accepted. Each entry will be subjected to a complete plagiarism check.
13. Submit your story in handwritten.
14.There will be three winners in each round.

15. All winning and highly commended stories may not be published elsewhere without permission from British Educational Schools-IGCSE.
16. Judges
decision will be final.
17. Stories will be judged on the basis of content, language and style of writing.
