CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

The Foundation Stage (Nursery & Reception ):

In the Nursery & Reception classes (age 3-5 years) the children follow an Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum designed to provide opportunities for all children to succeed in an atmosphere of care and feeling valued.The children gain knowledge and develop skills in six areas of learning specified in the English National Curriculum:

  • Personal ,Social and Emotional development
  • Communication, Language and Literacy
  • Mathematical development
  • Knowledge and understanding of the world
  • Physical development
  • Creative development

Key Stage One & Two (Years 1-6):

In the six years of the Primary Level the pupils begin the process of formal learning alongside with the daily Literacy (English) and Numeracy (Maths) Hours. They are also introduced to the key concepts of Science, Humanities (Geography & History), ICT, Art & Design, Music , Physical Education, Arabic, Islamic Studies and Christian Studies.

Key Stage 3 (Years 7 -8):

Students are taught English, Maths, Science, Arabic, Islamic or Christian Studies, History, Geography , Business and  French by qualified  Secondary teachers.

Key Stage 4 (Years 9 -11):

The IGCSE programme covers the years of 9 ,10 and 11. The school offers the following subjects:
English & Arabic (First or Second Language optional), Mathematics, ICT , Islamiyat or Christian Studies,  Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Additional Mathematics, Business Studies, Environmental, Accounting, Economics, Art & Design, French, History, Geography and Sociology.

Graduates:
Our students have admitted to the different  universities in and out Sudan.
